| I don't have a watch with either movement yet ! Hopefully, I will have both movements in my collection at some point. However, if I had to choose one at this point, I would go with the ETA 2824. Mainly because it is the original movement and the SW200 is more a variation by Sellita. I have also read the various problems that some have had with the SW200, from crown and stem problems to date wheel issues and time loss. Many have said this is due to early versions of the movement, or even grades of the Sellita SW200. Still I am sure that many have had no difficulty whatsoever with the SW200. For most people, the movement is just fine. In my opinion if you have two watches with the ETA 2824 and Sellita sw200, the ETA 2824 is the better, more reliable choice ! Just some thoughts ! | |

SW200's do hack. I own several 2824s and SW200s and they seem to be similarly accurate in my experience. | |

| In the end, both movements are good, and I would like to have both. So I could have a variety of watch movements, but also so I could make a better informed decision on the two. Many Sellita SW200 owners have had good luck with their movements, and do say they are even more accurate than the ETA 2824. Especially for the price ! | |

| Both work fine. Although, I think they are the same movement. Otherwise explain to me my Chase Durer Starburst with a SW200 movement sitting on an ETA 2824-2 plate. . . | |
