| 1977 Seiko 6309-804LT, 17 Jewel Automatic, cool faceted crystal and some nice dial texture. Had to cut my own strap and use strap bars. ____________________________________ Later, GaryRemember we are the caretakers of mechanical art..... | Tom, That Zodiac you have is so cool!! I love the hi-vis hands and markers and textured dial. I didn't really 'make' the strap...I bought a notcher and used it to cut the strap notches so I could fit it to this watch. Since this one, I have used this notcher a dozen times to fit straps to different watches. I used a black Sharpie to color the inside of the strap where I notched it, It seriously looks factory and saves this cool watch from the dumpster. Check out this thread on WUS from 2011 10mm Seiko watch strap options for more cool pictures of the watch and the watch/strap combo. ____________________________________ Later, GaryRemember we are the caretakers of mechanical art..... The Desert Falcon really is one of those watches you appreciate the more you look at it, or wear it. Thanks again sir ! With the strap Gary, that is still impressive no matter how you slice it. (See what I did there?) Seriously, you basically changed the whole strap, and like you said, kept it from being thrown out, or forgotten about. You may not have made it, but you definitely did a mod ! A terrific one !!! ____________________________________ | |
