Very nice review of the new Super Oyster Type II (with solid end links, screws, 4 hole micro adjustment, and Seiko branded deployant) on WUS by Isthmus today.

Ordered the old Type I before I knew about the Type II But, the type I is about 50% less than the Type II so

Really thorough review Doc !..So basically the Super Oyster
Type ll is a bit heavier, a little more comfortable, and possibly
better looking. The Type l is still evidently great though..and
like you said for 50% less..yours is better ! Thanks Doc !

Great review but I have never liked screw-pins. Nice bracelet though.

Robert, I find them difficult to size and they can come loose. I guess a guy only sizes his bracelet once and you can apply nail polish when you screw them back in. I just find them to be a pain when you initially size the bracelet. Friction pins still seem to be the best watch to go.
