Boscoe recently posted about the worlds most complicated watch. I remember seeing this oddity awhile back; also complicated, but utterly pointless:
The Romain Jerome Titanic DNA Day & Night watch turns convention on its ear. This
new timepiece features a novel Romain Jerome watch movement that
utilizes two tourbillons connected by a differential mechanism.
Designed by BNB Concept, who specializes in unusual tourbillon
executions, the "RJ One" movement omits a system of any hands in favor
of a contemplative tourbillon operation whereby the "Day" tourbillon
operates for 12 hours to symbolize working life, while the "Night"
tourbillon takes over afterward to represent an individual's private
time.
Like other timepieces in the Romain Jerome Titanic DNA
series, the Day & Night watch case incorporates elements made from
steel salvaged from the 1912 Titanic shipwreck, in combination with new
steel obtained in Belfast's Harland & Wolff shipyard, where the
famous vessel was built in the early 20th century.
