Here is an awesome review and description of the workhorse 7s26 movement from Seiko. This guy certainly knows this movement frontwards and backwards!!!

That is one of the top reviews of the 7s that I have seen. There's a newer one that looks at it and the 6r15 side-by-side with analysis of how the 7s was transformed into the 6r that is also in the same league with John Davis' excellent review you have shared but there aren't too many others in that league. His photos are superior and very detailed. Very nice link - thanks, hadn't looked at it in a while

Good stuff!! He literally broke it down and reviewed it part by part. Seems like he knows a bit about watchmaking as a craft, not just a know-it-all poser.

Tremendously detailed overview ! He had this Seiko watch and movement
covered inside and out. From the Lumibrite to the Magic Lever, there was alot
that I learned about. It's a tough and durbable watch that mixes great looks
with great performance ! Basically every part of this Seiko as with most Seikos
earns respect. Very cool and impressive review !..Thanks for the link Mark !
