I was just sitting here, cleaning my watch, and I thought, have any of you ever taken your own loupe to a store when watch shopping?

I'm talking about perhaps taking a "pocket loupe." I received two of them at the WatchTime function a while back, while using it, the thought came up.

I think the same as "gay," Trevor's spelling, iirc.

I take one to antique shows, and use it a lot. I have asked to use one at a regular jewlery store before, they usually hand it right over.

I use one like this, the LED light helps.

The other nice thing is that it uses fairly standard watch batteries (3x) but they last a good while.

The mini screwdriver is useless for watches but does help tighten the screw on the cover of the loupe and with replacing the batteries.
