Ok, does anyone have any experience with the Di-Modell Chronissimo Waterproof? The flap under the buckle seems unusual and would appear to preclude the use of most deployants.

Yes I have one - Great Strap.
And yes, a dual-deployant would be a challenge.

Tried it on a cheap/thin copy of this strap from Panatime
Got it to work but had to damage the flap to do so.
Would NOT however, attempt it with my DiModell.

It is permanently affixed to my Orient World Time PR

Thanks for the info. How stiff and thick is it? I like its looks but am used to Buffalos from IWI that cost about 1/4 as much.

Verrry well made solid strap.

Stiff (at first) yet malleable
- Will eventually conform and will stay curved to your wrist.

Quite thick due to double leather layers + padded portion
- 7mm at pad, 4mm in non-pad areas
- Top layer w/padding does resemble buffalo
- Bottom layer - no visible grain, not sure what it is
- Thin wrist side fine grain leather backing

To give you a better idea of the workmanship
- Second keeper is loosely attached with a thin fabric loop to adjust slightly up/down but to never slide off

This was the first expensive strap I purchased.
I couldn't believe the cost for a non-alligator strap (which I still don't get either)
But I had to have it - it's all class baby.
24mm version has slightly different at lug flap - otherwise I would have it as well.

Curious what watch you're thinking of using this on

Nope - Ordered mine from Europe.
They were quite scarce at the time - still can't find 24mm stateside.
This is also a 20mm

I was here 7yrs before I realized Watch Prince was only 10min away.

The watchprince store is a nice place to visit. Good selection and the people have been very friendly when I've dropped in. Its pretty nice to be able to see the products before you buy.

It's $69 online through several sellers. The Fortis might look good on it.

Yeah I paid ~75.
Fortis? Definitely.
This strap is worth a try on just about any mid-size Pilot/Diver.
