The ageless designs . . .

. . . . just looking at Tom's Omega Speedy. It immediately brought the term "Ageless" to my mind. Such a classic look, so perfectlly done.

How many watches can make such a claim?

So many of the watches made today are reaching for distinction, they may be awkward in appearance in a few short years.

Is it actually different in the eyes of each beholder?

Obviously there are the ever replicated and hommaged designs . . . . But what in your eyes is a true "Ageless Design"?

Do you have such a watch in your collection? Pictures please.

I call this category "Timeless" and completely agree.

One of my choices for an ageless, classic and elegant dress dial/case design....an Orient Star from around 2000?...handwinder and auto...

some watch designs are ageless. I would say this case shape has it, maybe not the color so much..

Submitting the Wilde-Beast as a likely contender.

After looking at over 500 luxury watches in Vegas last week at multiple stores, I am more sure then ever that my Oris, AND THE OTHER SIMILAR Oris models are "ageless". And a lot of this has to do with the fact that not only are they top quality BUT there really is NOTHING similar out there, and I looked.

I feel this one will always have a place in time:

just tremendous, and will most likely stand the test of time. I have mostly
sport type watches, that might be nice to me in years to come. However,
I'm not sure they will stand the overall test of time for others. So, I will

After seeing all the examples listed so far, I would have to agree with ALL of them. I guess when someone say "classicand timeless" I always think of Omega, Rolex, Panerai, Hamilton and yes, even Oris. I think the Oris divers will last because they are a unique enough but still conservative design that they will never lose their style thus lasting for a long time.

Looking at what you have all put out there . . . . seems like we most all agree that Omega in general has tremendous appeal and staying power.

In looking at my own group of watches, I realize I don't have much with the lasting design that we all seem to like. Kinda like growing up, in a way. . . .

I believe this brand is no longer in production but the design IMHO is ageless...true class if you ask me. My Stovard-Jurgenson.

That is a fine piece! Just googled the brand and saw some similar models but yours is the best version. The day/date positions are very reminiscent of some Classic Orients and even old Ricohs!!. Love the acorn crown which I have on a Chinese watch. Those vintage lug styles are cool too! Most interesting are the hand pointer style! Roman numerals....
