I would take the $500, save up just a bit more, and grab a Stowa Antea 390.

But that's just me, since I am kinda looking for a traditional sized dress watch.

How about a USPS MO written out to me? Very Happy. In all seriousness....how about a pilot style watch? Clean/simple, sterile dial...44mm.

Not sure what kind of watch you're in the market for. If its a nice dressy watch-check this one out. Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic 42mm, read a nice review on it in IW recently. For sale at WUS for $400.

agree with Jack ! The Triton in ALL of it's forms, is GREAT ! There is
that orange dial version from Steinhart that is extra nice by the way
also !..Basically, anything from either of those companies could be
nice for you.

Here are a few more sir..

Zeno Airplane Diver

Thanks guys, lots of great ideas. Tom, I was looking at the Zeno. I like it. That Artego looks intriguing. New company (?) though so CS and quality are a bit unknown, but I do like the retro case design.

Glad to help out Chris !..Honestly there is SO much out there to see, it can almost make
you dizzy. All of these watches that everyone is showing look TERRIFIC. The Zeno is cool,
and there are other versions that are nice too. Only thing with that one, is that it's price
is a little high. The Artego is good like Spaceview said, because it leaves room to buy any
of the other GREAT WATCHES mentioned too ! 500 bucks to burn... Icon_smile In any case, enjoy looking around out
there, and have fun !

I've got the zeno basel 500m dive watch. Its very good. Also very heavy.I just ordered the quartz gmt version of it from longislandwatch.com
I'd also recommend the zeno sel 300m and the Stowa antea.I've got both. While I don't wear the antea much, its really a nice watch.
