Soprod A-10 anyone? Empty
PostSubject: Soprod A-10 anyone?   Soprod A-10 anyone? Icon_minitimeFri Aug 13, 2010 1:08 pm

Was wondering with all the hype about Swatch not selling movement blanks anymore and the
growing use of Sellita's by some pretigious watchmakers (Tag and Oris) and the boutique brands going with Miyotas 21,000 bph or their new 28,000bph (Like Redsea) why are so few brands using this once anticipated Soprod A-10 movement?.
I read somewhere that it's up there with the ETA2892, which is a lot to say, the only two brands that use it AFAIK are from opposite ends of the spectrum Ball on their Engineer Hydrocarbon Classic III limited edition and..........Orange watch company on their MilSub homages.
Who has experience with any of Soprods products? who's cutting corners?

Here's two links to better illustrate:

Interesting info for sure...

...it will still be interesting to see Swatches affects on the market.

Has anyone noticed any yet?

It's a great question Redrum !..Honestly don't know much about the
Soprod A-10 movement. However, it seems like if watch companies
like Ball, and Orange Watch are starting to use them, then maybe this
is just the beginning of seeing it more and more sir ! Soprod A-10 anyone? Icon_smile ..Sounds like
a great movement from what you are saying, so I hope we start seeing
it !..Thanks alot for giving us this info !!!

I know Stowa is using them in the Marine Original. It debuted in Basel. I have seen it referred to as a Sellita A10. Not sure what that means.

That would be wrong, Soprod calls it "Alternance 10".
Sellita has it's own things, SW200, SW300 (like an ETA2892) and i think an SW500 (like a Val7750).
(Man, sometimes it scares me how much useless sh*t i know.)

Here's the link to Soprod's page
