| My first and probably not my last() Doxa arrived Wednesday. Now I understand why Doxa owners love these things. Very unique watch. There are not a lot of watches like this out there. The case in very unique shape with a brushed finish. It sits comfortably on the wrist. A good portion of the width of the watch is the case. The dial is only 27mm and plays a little small. The bezel is also very different. Polished steel with decompression times engraved on it. I'll never make proper use of it but looks pretty cool. It has a 3mm thick domed sapphire crystal befitting a dive watch. It is water resistant to 1000m as well. This particular model a COSC Certified chronometer that came with the proper documentation. It's a base ETA 2824. The hands are very unique as well. The iconic "dwarf" minute hand makes the watch easy to read even with my eyes. The bracelet is the "beads of rice" style. Also very different but rather a cool looking style. All in all I am very happy with this purchase. I don't think this will ever be leaving the collection. Thanks to Bryan for working with me on the deal. Here are a few pics I was able to get. |

| Thanks for your prospective, it felt like I could see the watch in front of me without seeing any pictures. Then you get to the pictures and you are blown away, what a fantastic watch. The color the dial is amazing. I'm sure your going to enjoy this for a long time. Great Choice! |

| Hobbit, this Doxa is in a class by itself sir !!!! Not only must it be great having a Doxa. Which like you said there don't seem to be alot of watches like it out there, but then add in the fact that it has this FANTASTIC dial !Orange always seems to look good on dive watches, butthis yellow is TREMENDOUS, and it's neat to see it on aDoxa. On top of that, it's a nice yellow which seems toalmost change color in different light from a flat, to almost amber look. It REALLY ROCKS ! Also think the patented Doxa markers, along with the way those hands look is justterrific as well. The picture of the diver is a neat touch TOO !These case shape is extra special as well. The way in which it surrounds the case is beautiful, and so is the brushing on the actual steel. It's the details like these, that make you want to just stare at the watch, and find new things to enjoy. For instance that bezel you mentioned ! ..It looks almost like a saw on the outer edge, and then has those decompression times on there as well, which are just plain cool imho. By the way, the accents on the bezel are great also !!! As is that sapphire crystal you mentioned ! ..However, the one thing that is SO unique and almost steals the show. Has to be the bracelet on this watch. Those bead-like links are just EXTRAORDINARY if you ask me. They look REAL GOOD, and they remind you of the vintage Doxa style from the past at the same time. Almost kind of a mesh meets regular stainless steel bracelet combination with it. It's really something to see ! ..Hey, and so is the lumewhich also looks to be off the charts. WOW ! This watch honestlyseems to have all the bases covered. Can't forget that behind all of this, is perhaps THE best part..The movement !!! ..A super cool COSC movement ! ..Sounds pretty exceptional, and it has to make you VERY proud to have one ! ..Both the movement, and the watch !!! Congratulations Hobbit ! ..Keep ENJOYING it ! These pictures are just TOO GOOD by the way ! ____________________________________ | |

| At first I thought 'hey too much stuff on the dial' but after I checked this thread for a few days I can really see why this is a special watch. Congrats.... ____________________________________ Later, GaryRemember we are the caretakers of mechanical art..... Member NAWCC, National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors | |
