Intrepid Journey...

Yesterday I was in NYC for some company business as well as a veteran's reception/event that my company (the worldwide leader ) puts on annually for our employee veterans. This year the event was held at the USS Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. The event was very nice with lunch, speeches, tours and a ceremony on the deck.

If you have never had the chance to visit the museum, it is well worth the trip the next time that you visit the city. It is a very historic vessel, with a tremendous history and many stories to tell. Here is a link to the website for more information --->> http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/

I've been to the Midway in San Diego and really enjoyed it. Can't wait to get back to NYC to see the Intrepid.

Great pics! I was there a few years ago. I thought the same thing about the watch falling off!!

On a bike trip I went to see the USS Alabama last year.

I wouldn't be to afraid of it falling...I don't think the midway could be more than 600m deep....if worst comes to worst. JUMP!!

here Mark ! ..It's so great seeing and hearing about all of the
history involved with this ship. Can't believe the size of things, both
on the outside as well as the inside. It's pretty breathtaking in my
opinion. Could probably spend a whole day or more just looking at
the various planes, and reading about all of the stories with this
ship. That bell is pretty INCREDIBLE by the way, and you even
got your watch in there too ! ..Thanks for showing us these
excellent pics from your day. Also want to thank YOU, along with
ALL of the veterans for their service !!!!

That's really awesome thing to do on Veterans Day. I never knew that museum was in NYC, thanks for all the pictures and sharing them with us. It looks like you and your Omega had a great day.
