Boy oh boy, what a TREMENDOUS Tag Heuer WP !
..The Monaco has such a unique look,
along with character about it that it's unbelievable. It has a beautiful shaped case, dial, strap, and
of course movement. Plus it has a cool history behind it too ! Must be ALOT of fun having such a
watch WP. Congratulations to you !!! There really are countless things to enjoy about this one sir.
Probably have to start with that square case though. What is so great about it, is the fact that it
kind of does the square case theme a little differently. There seems to be this very cool bowing,
or bending of the case on the sides. Almost as if it would be on it's way to starting a circle or
something. REALLY enjoying that ! Also think that there are some excellent looking angles, along
with different surfaces that genuinely catch your eye. The mix of flat surfaces on the very top near
the crystal, as well as that shape on the sides, top, and even back are off the charts imho. You
could genuinely wear this watch backward, because the way the case-back is done is REALLY
outstanding ! First you have what looks like an extra piece, or extention of stainless steel which
comes off of the back. You can see the cool shape as it kind of reflects the look of the actual case,
but also looks as if it gives the size of the movement some extra clearance inside also. Add to
that the various extra textures like polishing meeting brushing, and edges, and you really have a
TREMENDOUS combination here. Even the the etched writing, limited edition numbers, along with
screws bring in some extra character with the case-back. Hey, and we can't forget the movement
itself that is underneath it all WP ! All of the decoration, together with the shape of the rotor is
something to behold sir. Wow !!!
Moving back toward the front of the watch now, it's hard not
to be in awe of what Tag Heuer has done. Once again, there is alot of history behind what this
watch is, and it seems like they got all of that down perfectly. All of the sportiness, all of the
uniqueness, as well as class is here. In fact it seems as though the watch manages to create
some of it's own history, with some new modern changes. The dial color for instance has this
extremely nice grey color to it. On the one hand it seems very metallic, and raw. While on the
other, it has this cool, classy finish. In any case, it works very very well, and brings the whole
theme of the watch together. Also enjoy the way in which the silver lets you notice those sub
dials more. ..The contrast of the silver, along with black is sporty, yet classy, and the square
shape of the sub-dials literally seems to pay tribute to it's own unique case-shape. However, it's
that circular portion of markers in the center of the square dial that always steels the show WP.
That whole look is again SO unique, as well as VERY ingenius. Even those markers outside the
actual dial that are going sideways are remarkable.
You just don't see ideas, or accents like
this. Their metallic finish, along with three dimensional shape is something to see, and it just helps
add even more character to the watch imho. Same goes for those elegant, sporty orange hands,
as well as spectacular vintage looking strap, which are two more tremendous parts of this
TREMENDOUS Tag Heuer Monaco ! Congratulations, and keep enjoying this one !!!
Tremendous watch, along with photos.
