Roamer Stingray arrived from The Netherlands...

Just got this today in the mail. It's a 1969 Roamer Stingray powered by a Valjoux 72 (726). The grooved and folded steel bracelet
really tops off this one. The Valjoux was just serviced, too, and it looks like it's keeping very accurate time.

VERY cool Tom! I love the texture on the clasp and bracelet. It looks just right. Love the dial patina. Winner. What are the dimensions of the case?

It's 37mm x 42mm, but wears much larger due to the cushion shape. Notice, too, that the dial is almost as wide as the case. Kinda the opposite of a Luminox, where the case is large but the dial is relatively tiny.

Whoa Tom, this is just EXTRAORDINARY ! Don't really know a ton about Roamer,
but holy COW, they are NICE ! Everything about this one here is perfect. From the
case shape, and large dial, to the hands, sub-dials, and remarkable bracelet. Even
that case-back seems like it is ahead of it's time with the emblem, and cool sting
ray. That movement must be something to experience in person as well ! What A
WATCH ! Congratulations on finding, and picking it up. ..Honestly, there are so many
things to like about this watch. You can focus on one part, and say well "this" is the
best part, but then look at another part, and then another, and say maybe "that" is
the best part. In the end, this Roamer does everything right. So you can enjoy the
watch as a whole, and also individual aspects too. For instance, the dial on this one
with it's elongated red/orange markers, and how they work against the deep black
dial is unbelievable. Especially like how the hands on the sub-dials follow along in
the footsteps of the minute, and hour hand styles. That is neat ! Even the crystal
is FANTASTIC here. The way it surrounds, and sets off the dial is great, but so is
how it introduces you to ALL of the details in the case also. The shape, the detail,
and the workmanship, as well as the fit, and finish. It's ALL extraordinary Tom !
Finished off by an out of this world bracelet, case-back, and of course movement !
Amazing find Tom. VERY cool seeing it right next to the Breitling by the way also !
