| You have a Rolex, you have an Omega, you have a Breitling...
You have a Hamilton, you have a Zinex, you have a Steinhart...
You have an Invicta, you have a G-shock, you have a Bulova...
So what makes you buy yet ANOTHER watch?
Is it the thrill of the chase?
Is it because you have discretionary funds available?
Is it just pure watch ADDICTION?
Will there always be that NEXT watch?

| Other people's watches. Often don't like a watch until I see it on another person's wrist. | |

| Think it might be a combination of all of these Alan. For myself I just really like watches to be honest. The classics, the modern, and everything that is in between. It's not just about telling time for me either. It's about how watches seem to really move me. Whether it's how it looks on the outside, or what is inside, there is something special about them. So I guess there will always be that next watch. ____________________________________ | |

| For me, being still relatively new (about a year of collecting now), I find that each watch I buy leads to altered ideas of what I want. I used to think that chronos and multicoloured dials were the end-all-be-all of watches. Deep Blue was a great watch in my eyes back then. Today, they seem gaudy and simply not enough attention to detail. I now check my watches with a loupe and try to determine if the builders made it as well as they could.
I guess its like women, you keep searching for a better model... even if you arent going to ever be back on the market again! | |
