Not sure if you guys saw this already. Girard-Perregaux's Constant Escapement movement/watch
has taken more than five years in research, and development. Don't really understand much about
how it all works. Just sounds really groundbreaking, and thought it was maybe very interesting to talk
about.

The inspiration actually seems to have come from holding, as well as bending a train ticket, or even
business card between fingers.

Here is a paragraph from Timezone.com that explains more, along with their website which explains
all about the Constant Escapement everybody...

"The principle of a constant force escapement is that whatever the energy supplied by the barrel, the
escapement returns a constant energy to the regulator (balance wheel). To achieve this, they had the
brilliant idea of integrating an intermediate device into the escapement, consisting of an extremely thin
blade that stores the energy up to an invariable threshold bordering on instability, and then transmits it
all instantaneously, before recommencing the cycle."
