| Here is my project from yesterday, I picked up this 1972 Seiko 6139-6015 automatic chronograph for $30 at a pawn shop. Both pushers were sticking....so it looked like it didn't work. So, I opened it up, removed pushers and polished them, greased the o-rings, and cleaned out 40 years of funk. Then I threw out the nasty gold bracelet (too short) and polished the case and crystal. Mmmmmm, turned out nice and works perfectly....... ____________________________________ Later, GaryRemember we are the caretakers of mechanical art..... Are you guys seeing all of these incredible watches? There's Thian's phenomenal classic Seiko diver with it's ultra cool finish, and stealth attitude. Not to mention a beautiful pictures. Then we have Darius's outstanding Invicta with the most amazing bezel, and dial to go along with fantastic dueling finishes. Bill's extraordinary Ploprof then stuns you with one of the most unforgettable case shapes, and overall designs around, and then supercharges itself with a beautiful orange strap. Finally Gary shows us this unbelievably cool Seiko that he picked up for not only a terrific price, but then did a terrific job restoring it. Wow Gary ! Looks great ! ..Nice work ! Hope everyone has a really awesome weekend ! ____________________________________ | |
