Think Steinhart was the total brains of the operations and you will see more and more new stuff from them while Debaufre will be a off the shelf or catalog builder in the future!

Unfortunately, I think you're probably right about Defaufre. Fortunately, its cheaper to order direct from Steinhart and they have terrific CS.

Excellent. One observation. Both my friends who are in the US that have ordered Steinhart watches directly from Germany were in contact with the company about the order and were able to get customized watches (nothing major but in one instance a different crown for example) with no hassles at all. So, communicating with them beyond their shopping cart may be result in some extras.
