| Hey Gang, As I mentioned in the LT Tungsten and B&R Look-Alike threads... I've been sniffing around the Lum-Tec Bull45 A1 for quite some time (~10 months). Wanted a B&R style but they were too flat and $$$ for me. Blaming Labman for putting me over the edge for my first LT. His firm loyalty and satisfaction with the brand sold me. So I did it last weekend and it arrived yesterday. Definitely NOT a square watch, more of a shallow bow tie. Top/Bottom sides curving inward to intersect with the primary case cylinder. Wrist curvature combined with downward slope of each corner gives the perception of a complex compound curved case. Additionally the top of the corner hex screws follow the corner slopes and match the contour adding to the perceived complexity. Very comfortable BTW. +500 for a Quartz you say? (very hard to find for less) Well...I've spent the same and more for Invicta quartz justified by case design/complexity. Wanted the original version. Newer ones already evolving away from the military simplicity I like. Comes in a modest case on a rubber strap - immediately swapped out for some gator. Cause I can't get enough of that black/silver/brown look (dial/case/strap). Thanks for watching -- jaw Specs* 45mm 316l stainless steel case. * Top side crown and pushers. (bullhead design) * Thick sapphire crystal. * Double side anti reflective coating (AR) * 100 Meter water resistance (10ATM) * 8-layer MDV LUM-TEC GX luminous application. * Chronograph timer 11 hours/59 minutes/59 seconds. * Heavy duty japan Miyota OS10 Chronograph movement. * Top grade rubber strap. * Brushed finish or bead blasted hard PVD finish. * 6 styles / 100 units each for 2009. | |

| jaw, Great snag man, the Bull45 is a solid chunk of watch and unique in it own right. It looks fantastic with the brown leather. Sweet pics too. Hope you're happy with your pick up, I know I dig mine. |

| What a terrific description and review Jaw ! Your new Lum-Tec has it all ! The amazing "shallow bow tie" case is just Out of this World ! That is something you DEFINITELY don't see anywhere. I really like all of the thought they put into this watch. The raised bezel shows off nicely above the case. Those screws are a cool touch as well, and the way that dial looks is exceptional imho. From the hands, to the numbers, it's perfect. Also like the way the numbers dissappear near the sub-dials. Hey, and how about the bullhead pushers, THAT'S OUTSTANDING !..What a great looking strap by the way too ! Congratulations on this, and..Enjoy !!! ____________________________________ | |

| Interesting case design there, you can see a bullhead influence yet its very different. I like the way the rounded case extends out between the lugs. And the curvature allows ample clearance for the crown/pushers when worn. Congratulations | |

| I like the looks a LOT, but I'm just not a quartz fan. Imagine it on a MESH! | |

Imagine it on a MESH! equals potential. I like that bad boy and it does have potential I am passing on quartz for now. I might even go for the auto chrono with that design. I bet the price would really be steep then though. Bet I have paid as much for an Invicta or Renato so why not Lum-Tec? |

| Thanks guys - even you no-quartz or chrono hold outs, thank you.
Dale: my sentiments exactly I've spent it on Renato and Invicta so why not. The auto is twice the price Regular Price: $1,155.00 Special Price: $981.75 (if you pre-order now)
pacifichrono: Wish I could find a 26mm mesh
Also this is a good example of inspiration (B&R) expanded beyond copy and homage to something unique.

Yes this is the Official Birthday Watch. Actually, just so happened to be the one to arrive closest to the day. Always buying stuff - don't need a special day for an excuse to buy.

| Like your description of the case Jeffrey. I think it is a great looking watch in all aspects and it is a size that needs a larger wrist, IMO. I am not a fan of the Bullhead design but man I do like the rest of it! The strap on it is awesome and it really goes so well as part of the total package. Congrats! | |

| Nice. The lume is off the charts.price for a quartz? pretty good. Some are willing to pay more for them.I'm in that camp.I own some that came in around 2.5k.For a watch like that,I think its better in the quartz version. |
