Here's a new watch, and also brand you may, or may not not have caught already everyone. Ferdinand Berthoud is an
offshoot of Chopard it looks like guys, and honors legendary watchmaker, and even mechanic of the French Navy, and
French King during the 18th century.

Their new Ferdinand Berthoud Chronometrie FB1 has an amazing 44mm octagonal white gold, or rose gold case, lateral
portholes that reveal fusee chain mechanical hand-wound calibre FB-T.FC 46 jewel tourbillon movement, satin finished
dials with recessed power reserve, cut out center dials, unique hands, and much much more. Oh, and straps are an cool
alligator also everybody.

Have a few pics for you...

Great exercise in watchmaking, but in the end a compromise for time keeping (small dials) and out of reach for 99.5% of population.

Think you really nailed it on the head Gary ! Smile Watches like these are definitely fun to look at, but the prices like you said,
and small (hard on the eyes) dials can be a turn off. ..That being said, if watches like this were way way way less expensive,
there would be a much better chance of one being in the watch box. cheers

Would still have to squint to see the time I guess though. lol!
