Did you guys know about this? Or hear about it?

Seems like this cool new atomic clock will be launching into space soon
that will change space navigation to not only Mars, but into deep space.

The NASA Deep Space Atomic Clock will be, or is the most accurate
timing instrument ever made, and uses mercury-ion trap technology.
Having been developed over 20 years at the NASA Jet Propulsion
Laboratory in Pasadena.

On June 22 the launch will take place, and be live streamed. Beginning
a year long testing as it orbits the Earth.

Just a few details about the Deep Space Atomic Clock is that it will
lose only 1 second over 9 million years, will help spacecraft navigate,
keeps time using mercury ions, works similar to GPS, and will launch
on a SpaceX Falcon heavy Rocket.

Have a few pics for you...
