Girard-Perregaux’s new Casquette 2.0

Alright, have you seen Girard-Perregaux’s Casquette 2.0?

It kind of reminds you of an Amida Digitrend, and evidently was from
around the same time. With the original Casquette being unveiled in
1976. With the new 2.0 bringing back a similar design. Which includes
a black ceramic, and grade 5 Titanium case, and bracelet, tubular LED
display behind a sapphire crystal, quartz movement, and more.

Wow talk about an over priced watch! $5000 for this! The redone LE Macys only Bulova Computron can be had for $225 over at Macy's. I am sure the materials are better and it has a bit more refined look (and a LE) ...but honestly $5K is way too much for a watch that is more of a novelty really.

It is crazy how much they are asking Gary. I guess it shows how much the name on a dial
can inflate prices. I mean digital watches in general were meant to be more affordable to begin with.
So how does a watch like the Casquette 2.0 cost $5000?! ..It is strange, but I guess the novelty,
as well as limited thing have to do with it as you said. And I guess they feel their watches are expensive
to begin with so they’re just sticking to form.

Yup, really these are just fun to see, but so are Bulova’s Computrons.
