21 inches of snow (pics)

here is my deck we never get this much snow in south jersey

Right behind ya here in Staten island LC...gonna break out the snow blower tomorrow..

Yowza LC !..That is some good accumulation you got
there ! Must be somewhere around 20 inches by the looks
of those excellent photos !..You are right, there is usually
more snow up north..but you guys are getting the bulk of
this one ! I wish we had this much ! Take it easy LC
and Jack with all the snowblowing and shoveling tomorrow !

I'm a Swede from Minnesota where the term enjoys great use. My grandfather emigrated here from Skelleftea in 1910, hiking and skiing across Sweden and Norway to the western coast, where he caught a ship to England, and on to Canada, then to relatives in Wisconsin.

I just noticed that my post shows photos of BOTH my grandfathers! A 1944 photo of my maternal grandfather serves as my avatar these days.

While living in Minnesota in 1980, I made the foolish mistake of driving 120 miles in -40F degree weather (-90F wind chill) in the aftermath of a blizzard. No one else was on the highways (wonder why?). The radiator in my 1979 Buick LeSabre Sport Coupe was freezing up and the car was going slower and slower. I was fearing for my life as I finally limped into a town at 25 mph with the gas pedal to the floor! That's why I now live in San Diego.
