I'm a little perplexed, can anyone here honestly say they've been influenced by Hayek or Muller? Therefore, any contempt aside, the choice by default would have to be one of the others. If you've ever bought a watch on TV -you have been influenced-or not. That, I think is the real question.

I am not sure this person will count, but I would say Ariel Adams, who's site http://ablogtoread.com was really the first one I read word for word.
JMHO
Some of the TV guys mentioned in the poll above are just TV personalities. If it was not watches they would sell TV's or sheets. They are just doing a job of selling on TV IMO.

I read too much into the question. Hayek is a pompous ass but is the most influential IMO.

I don't really know a whole lot about the names out there. However, after reading that article here, the other day about Mr. Hayek. It does seem like he is VERY influential ! It will be interesting to see who we will be saying is most influential Horologist in the future too.
