| Here’s the scenario. Wifey and I are getting ready for a party, day out, shag fest, or just hanging loose. Both of us have our particular ways of getting ready, prepping, or otherwise making ourselves comfortable for the upcoming activities.
Female’s prep: At least one hour of grooming and cleaning for outings that require interactions with others. About half that for just regular outings. For internal activities, there isn’t much in the way of prep time but she definitely does what she wants.
My prep: 15 minutes max in the bathroom for the 3 S’s. 5-10 minutes to select clothing appropriate for the activity and dress. Optional 5-10 minutes added for watch selection/preparation. The watch prep includes, strap and bracelet changes, cuff clearance check, and overall suitability for the occasion.
Here’s the problem. Every single time I start to do something other than “just put on my watch” such as a strap change or choose a different watch, I get grief. Everything from joking comment to full on bitching and a fight. You know the deal, “What? Your doing watches now? We have to go. We’re getting ready to go out and you’re main priority is to play with your watches?” She says this when she has 20 minutes before she is even finished with her stuff.
SO!! Does this happen to you? Crazy women! | |

| . . . . mine's pretty great. She's happy I'm not building cars and bikes any longer, endless hours out in the shop where she hated being. I think she actually likes to have me around the house more . . . . . |

| I get the same deal here Poli. I usually just throw her down the stairs and that ends the evening entirely. |

| Maybe she's actually pissed because you can't seem to find a watch to match your skirt? |

| No problems here either, however I remember one time she said she just can't understand why I need more than one watch. Go figure, not sure I could count the pairs of shoes in the closet. |

| Wife understands. She has a few favorites of mine and I always point out when I wear the one she gave me. But I'm not ballsy enough to try a strap change minutes before we leave. That probably wouldn't go over well. |

| Mine's cool with it all too. On the very rare occassion she says anything, I just remind her about all the never-opened shoe boxes in her closet. I don't drink, quit smoking 5+ years ago, and don't spend much on anything else now that we don't go racing (SCCA amateur road racing... I was on the crew) anymore. |
