Another new unofficial Steinhart release

There is another model in the Steinhart line that I really love, and thats the Marine chronometer. These models are not really chronometers but they were based on historic ship chronometers.

These watches have a very classy, almost dressy look to them but at 47mm I personally feel that they are too large for their design.

There is a member at WUS who has said that Gunter has confirmed with him they will be releasing a 44mm version of the Marine Chronometer Vintage sometime probably in the spring.

I've always loved this watch and I'll probably love it's 44mm version even more.

Nice RETRO look...

Mellow yellow dial, not crazy about the crown

I agree about the crown. This really isn't a pilot watch so the pilot style diamond crown shouldn't be used here. Hopefully the 44mm version will feature the smaller onion crown that is found on the 44mm pilot watch.
