Blackberry updating

Ok, so I get an email this morning that there is an update for my Blackberry Storm. Supposed to speed up applications and web browsing.

There is an "update" option on the Blackberry, but you can rarely use it. Instead, they require you to download to your computer, the hook it up to the USB cable first.

Even tried going to the update site on the BB browser and download direct to phone...no go, must do it to the computer.

Thing is I have no idea where the USB cable is, and of course the Storm uses and oddball size to connect to the phone, so the gazillion cables I have around here wont work.

Why have an update option and all this self updating crap when the phone is not capable of it to begin with?

Anybody know a way around this?

Uhg... what a drag. By the way, you still have to connect your iPhone to a computer to update your OS. AND it takes a proprietary cable.

But yes, the iPhone is much better.

If you havent already done so...You should download blackberry apps...tons of apps to add to your phone and lets you know when you need to update your phone..
