| A couple weeks ago, we discussed who'd be the next it brand. I now nominate Longines based on this watch and other factors: NEWS Longines Lindbergh's Atlantic Voyage Watch January 19, 2010 www.worldwatchweb.com -Longines is re-issuing a timepiece that was specially designed for Charles Lindbergh. In 1933 the American aviator Charles Lindbergh set off with his wife on a trip of 47,000 km around the North Atlantic. Having achieved a remarkable technical and human feat in being the first man to fly non-stop across the North Atlantic in his Spirit of St. Louis, Lindbergh wanted to explore possible future air routes across the far north before returning to the USA via Cape Verde and Brazil. The equipment Lindbergh took with him on his long expedition included a wrist chronograph created specially by Longines for this very purpose. Today Longines is re-issuing this exceptional timepiece, known as the Longines Lindbergh's Atlantic Voyage Watch, as a tribute to the historical feat achieved by this pioneer of the skies. | I hate chronos too. Nice divers. This brand has history and panache. Watch out Hamilton you're days as the WIS darling are numbered. |

| The Chrono is a winner in my book .....excellent time pieces, I think unfair to compare with Hamilton, two different levels IMHO |

| I've always admired Lindbergh and that is a nice watch. I don't see how reissuing a watch from 1933 will make Longines the next big thing. I do like the first diver pictured, believe its called the Legend. The second is nice but looks like any other Sub inspired piece. | |

| I am a big Longines fan! I almost bought a master collection watch like that chrono, and/or a Spirit. The Spirit was not what I hoped for when I tried it on. The MC was not the exact model I wanted (was strap and I wanted bracelet) I tried on a dozen of them over the holidays, but bought Tags instead. Longines makes a great product, only a mater of time before I get one!! ____________________________________ Later, GaryRemember we are the caretakers of mechanical art..... | Isn't that snowflake hand a kind of trademark (not the we're suing you way) of Tudors from the 60s? |

Yes, but on BOTH hands. This watch is the sound of ONE hand clapping |

| Took a long look in the Longines counter and tried on a few at Tourneau about a year ago. The one thing I can say is that they are WAY more impressive in person! |

| The legends diver in a reissue of a 1969 model (almost sure of it) and it is just a kickass piece! The 3 hand hydroquest diver just doesnt do it for me, the crown guards look too much like pushers on the chrono model!! I think longines was always a classic brand but andre aggassi smokin' meth has taken them over the top and to a whole new clientele!!! |

Forgot about Andre. Is Longines taking a crack at developing a Speedway? |

| Just purchased and received the Longines Legend Diver and couldn't be happier.....Put on a custom Greg Stevens Strap, too...For the money, one of the most underrated brands and as someone else said---the watches are much better in person... Here are a couple shots: By the way, got a great deal from Rob at Topper's... Cheers Mike |

Mike No I had not seen the Lindbergh until you pointed me in the right direction sir ! It does look OUTSTANDING !!! The dial is great, and so is that bezel along with crown. I don't think I have seen a bezel like that before ! Thanks. http://www.longines.com/virtual-catalogue/longines-info-lindbergh/index.html____________________________________ | |

| That is a fine looking watch Koi ! The white dial is just perfect. While the case, especially the side is too cool with those ridges there. GREAT vintage style hands too and the mesh bracelet is a fantastic finishing touch ! I hope you find this one again ! By the way..The other Longines watches are amazing as well.. ..Does that Lindbergh actually come in a case like that with all of those extras ? ____________________________________ | |

| Just an underrated brand...A lot of folks get worked up over the lack of a higher end movement or in-house movement. If that Lindbergh had an in-house movement it woud be over 5-7K... Love the mesh bracelet on that Koimaster....I hope another one comes your way.. Cheers Mike |
