| Hey Guys, I don't own any Victorinox but I'm circling these 2 below. Always partial to military dial designs for some reason. Not asking for an either or decision. Just seeking impressions/experience w/Victorinox in general. Thanks Dive Master 500 Mecha - ETA 2892-A2 (Model 241356) Infantry Reserve ETA 252-751 (Model 241313) | |

| Hey Jaw, I have a Victorinox in route arriving in the morning. I'll let you know what I think. That three hand looks NICE! | |

| They are doing a line with a similar dial color scheme as the second watch. IMO the colors are dull and uninteresting in person.
Victorinox Swiss Army makes a great watch. You will be proud to own one.

| Most of mine are chronos, but I like the looks of the 3-hand better here, although not big on all blacks... |

| I can't speak for their autos, but the quartz models i know (maverick, classic chrono) seem nice but overpriced, even though relatively inexpensive. I'd love to try that Dive Master in a black IP auto, that's hot! |

| What looks like Black IP on the 3 hand is actually a nice Medium Gunmetal Not as dark as Invicta's which is effectively black Not a big Black IP fan myself. | |

| I have been very tempted by that chronograph, and also by the 3 hand version of the same watch. The Dive Master is also tempting. I have seen both in person and both are great looking and feeling. Victorinox/Swiss Army are a quality brand. I hope this helps. |

I'd love to try that Dive Master in a black IP auto, that's hot! No kidding - the chrono is fairly new but the 3 hand has been out a couple years with barely any price reduction.

| Jaw..I have no personal experience with Victorinox ! Nonetheless, they honestly seem to be a great brand. That Dive Master you are showing there is ONE spectacular looking watch. It's got an aggressive look that's not overdone and a cool movement too. The orange and red versions with matching straps are great as well. In any case, the Dive Master 500 Mecha looks like a winner IMHO ! ____________________________________ | |

| I've owned upwards of 10 VSA. Currently have 2 251.262 and one 7750. Their quartz models are significantly less well built IMHO than their autos. The autos are incredible value for money in my experience if you get them for standard Gray Market prices. The quartz models are nice but often overpriced IMHO. I got my two 251.262 with Sapphire, 200m WR, all SS for $43 each and they were a killer bargain. But for $299 they were not worth the price (although Breitling among others sold a 251.262 model watch for $2800 MSRP! ). |

Actually I want both - of course But for different reasons - chrono: for solid every-dayer w/military vintage look - 3hand: always wanted a gunmetal Rolex style diver - missed out on Invicta's GM ProDiver w/SW200 - didn't really want their MOP dial anyway But they ain't cheap - chrono: ~$440, 3hand: ~$670 still hunting a deal. May have to start with the chrono - much to the dissatisfaction of the XMT consensus. Gonna have to see the 3hand live again anyway to sell myself on wrist-print size (small but thick) Love the lumed bezel markers on 3hand the most (not my pic below) Thanks for all the great input guys - We'll see More pics on WUS they like it too.

| AND THE WINNER IS.....The Infantry Vintage Chronograph After my recent Deep Blue Master 2000 acquisition the Dive Master was just too small at 43mm. Anyway...the chrono is just a hair larger and much thinner giving it a wide wrist print. The satin finish is verrrry smoooooth and clean looking much like a nicely finished Titanium. Has a similar feeling of satisfaction when putting it on like the Renato Ti-Rex ahhhh. Love the military look with muted off white numerals and charcoal dial under sapphire, an ETA 251.272 beats inside. My first Victorinox. Very nice. Didn't get the greatest deal because I decided to throw the local independent watch snobbery a bone. I go in there to look all the time and never buy - mainly because I get the feeling they don't believe I can. So I strolled in with my PO and dropped 100 more than Jomashop would have charged. Let them size it and didn't accept the parking validation. Said good-bye after warning the usual condescending a-hole that hell might freeze over tomorrow. Here are a few quick pics. | |

| Thanks Chris. Watchworks. First time I went there they followed me around the store the entire time. To be fair they aren't all a-holes - just one in particular rubs me the wrong way. They are over priced - MSRP on everything by default. | |

| NICE one Jaw, VERY nice ! The way the dial is set up is awesome ! Those numbers, sub-dials, chapter ring, and hands could not have been put together better IMHO ! Also that satin finish on the watch is really great. It adds a classic feel and looks amazing ! Congratulations and enjoy your new Victorinox ! ____________________________________ | |

Gonna have to look it up - Always more to learn.

Enjoy wearing it! |

| Hmmm, Watchworks? Probably won't get the best deal there.
Don't recall an all metal DM auto either - just a Ti quartz There may have been a couple rubber strap autos. But certain the one I posted originally was not there last weekend. Again against the Deep Blue Master 2000 the Victorinox Dive Master 500 was just too small.
