I have been checking out some of the Chinese watches on Ebay after being shown a few from a friend who had some good luck with a few. They were REALLY cheap, so I said - what the hell!

Got an interesting Winner Automatic Watch this week in my question to own a skeleton watch. I purchased a watch for $6.99 on Ebay that has a VERY SIMILAR case look to a recent Stuhrling model (pictures below).

The transaction was easy, the shipping ($10) cost more then the watch did.
The watch is well made (case) and the movement is working perfectly fine right now.
The leather strap is pretty crappy, but I was not expecting very much to be honest.

Also - I paid for this watch on Jan 31 and received it in North Carolina on 2/8/10. Not bad shipping time at all.

Here is the info from the Ebay Listing:

MainFeatures:
1.100% Brand new.
2.Unique design silver Stainless steel case & black leather band .
3.There are some figures on the frame.
3.Pierced white dial dail,luminous hands.
5.The figure on the dail is black, but "12","8",and "4" are silver and bigger.
6.Powered by auto mechanical,no battery is required.
7.Stainless steel back.
8.Daily water resistant.
9.This is a men's watch.
10. Case Diameter : 47mm (including crown)
11. Case Thickness : 1.4cm
12. Band Material : Leather
13. Case Material: stainless steel
14. Band Length : 18.5cm(include the watch)
15. Band width: 1.9cm
16. Movement: Auto mechanical
17. Components Included: 1x watch / 1x Free Gift box

And the pictures:

How can you lose for $10?

If nothing else you can open it up and take apart, see if you can re-assemble!

Have fun with it!

Wowee ! Winner Chinese Skeleton Automatic Icon_biggrin Now that's an amazing deal ! You get a mechanical
watch, with an exceptionally unique skeleton dial too. Then the
watch is a nice size, has all the bells and whistles like luminous
hands, stainless steel case, and leather band just to name a few.
It's even packaged very nicely as well ! ENJOY !!!

Thanks for the comments and that is exactly what I thought - why not?

I have been interested in buying a skeleton type watch, but have never owned one. So I thought I would try this out first to see if I even liked the style of watch at all and before spending considerably more money.

As far as I can tell this has to be the same case maker as Stuhrling uses. And then they make a few modifications with the hands, etc.

I might actually attempt to take it apart and put back together again to be honest. That sounds kid of cool.

I have 1 other Chinese special on the way. Will post pictures when it arrives.

Different case, same dial as the Schturdling. I have the Schturdling. It a good looking design, but a just watch. Crown falls right out! Poop on that.

I think I can beat it; got another of the Winner brand watches on eBay for only $1 (not including the $15 shipping.) Thing works great; it popped a wire once, but that's only because I accidentally wound it a bit too tight. Other than user error, it works like a jewel!
