Don't think I've ever received a watch as a gift that wasn't "pre-picked out" by me which insured me liking it...

There are the ones Ron gifted me which are incredible as well!

I gave you a jacques lemans about a week after i joined WG's,(help me with zodiacs at the outlet)you didnt like the deployant clasp and gave it to brad and then he shit on all of us!! Beautiful brown dial Quartz!!! Have you ever 779569

Yeah, that watch was VERY COOL, just couldn't get the bracelet to fit...

And Yeah, that one came back and bit me in the ass...

Mostly just cheapies that somebody else didn't want, I still have a few of them, hidden from sight......what do you do with a watch thats not worth wearing, selling or even giving to someone else?

It didn't have that day window, if it did I would just have put it on a strap. That is one of my FAVORITE types of day windows and I STILL don't have a watch with that type Have you ever Icon_sad

The only watch my wife (of 27+ years) ever bought me was a Seiko chronograph dress watch I wore twice I think. I sold it at a pawn shop when the battery died, and I told her it broke.

She has not bought me a watch since, but has not complained about my watch habit, as I don't drink, smoke anymore, and we quit racing about 6 years ago, so I really have no vices except watches and my Z car, which is not expensive to keep going at this point.

No! same case, bracelet and dial texture! the day window and automatic movement might have made it a keeper! Besides you asked me if it was cool to give it to Brad, way before he became the body and soul of watchgeeks!!

Yeah that dial was kinda textured like an Oceanaire is from 12 to 3, but all the way around.

Yes, I bought a Skyhawk in 2004 but just found it way too busy dialwise....flipped it. Now I am wary of gimmicky watches ...or at least tend to add watches a bit more practical. The aesthetics of multi-tool watches fascinates me and i still keep a Casio Protrek PRG80 Ti with all its functions! haha!

+1 - I actually prefer it over some of the new see through dials...and it is definitely a conversation piece, for all of the right reasons!
