Anal?

No...not that kind of anal! How anal are you with your watches?

Do you constantly wipe the crystal free of smudges?

Do scuff marks/desk diver marks drive you crazy?

Do you find yourself purposely not doing something with your watch hand or are you more careful when using it?


My answers -
For the most part, I just wear my watches and wipe them down at the end of the day that I wear one. If I notice a scuff, I will eventually clean it up with a fiberglass pen.

The one thing that I do notice myself doing is being more careful with my left hand/wrist and I definitely notice when I put my watch in a perilous position

I am very particular about the AR on my Seawolf, shows fingerprints and smudges SO bad, wish the AR was only on the inside...

Panerai is only high polished watch I have so I get a bit crazy about fingerprints on it too. Just not sure I can bring myself to have it brushed out by ANYONE...

Not too anal about it, I wipe down my watches when I put them away. Usually I don't worry so much when I am wearing them. I have watches I wear when things get hairy, so I don't ruin a good one. If there's a question I just take the watch off, if I have a safe place to put it.

clean my watches regularly and I'm very careful when i handle them or set them down. I stay a little away of concrete or brick walls, I don't like stucko

For me, not so much after care, but foresight. I think twice about all the activities I'll be doing before selecting a watch to leave the house with. When it's time to give my son a bath I put on a diver, nylon strap or Gshock for bed, etc. But never without a watch...

Man another watch question! I try but being left handed and wearing my watch on my left wrist things just happen! anymore just desk diving stuff but back in the day when i was out in the warehouse more with my troops my poor rolex sub took the brunt of it and still has wabi scars on the bezel insert! Tried wearing it on my right wrist but had kienbock disease in my right wrist (short story) Doctors think i may have injured my wrist years ago(played a ton off softball all across the country) once in battle Creek MI. i apologize for my actions back in 92! Anyway back to this funny named disease (named after the doctor who found it) all the carple bones were dying from lack of blood and it got so bad that everytime i bumped it would scream like a girl , lost alot a fexibility in the wrist and it was getting worse. This was back in 94/95 and i had two options fuse the wrist (i was 33 years old and still playing alot of ball) so that was out of the question! Or take 5mm out of the arm bones down close to the wrist and put them back together with a titanium plated and 8 screws (could have saved a fortune if they let me bring my own screws)Theory was that with the arm bone shorten and not so close to the colapsing carpal bones blood flow woudl get in and they would quit dying! Was a new operation at the time and i went with it, never regained much of the flexibility i lost (left wrist i can bend to 90 degrees, the right about 60 but for the most part the pain was gone but just couldnt wear a watch on my right wrist!! what was the question!

Not anywhere as OCD with my watches as when I first started collecting them. I do have a guy at work who loves to rub his finger across the crystal of my watches when I take it of for him to check out, THAT makes me nuts!

As far as a watch to bed, none here, I go commando

I guess you could say I'm VERY careful with my watches, and try
not to get them scratched up. I do occassionally find myself
wiping the crystals. Also try not to rub my watches against things
or get scuff marks. With the being careful with my watch hand
or arm thing !..That's a yes..Especially when the watch is BRAND
new ! ..Still if something does happen, I try not to get too
bent out of shape.

I'm also guilty of wearing a watch to bed. I can't believe I'm in the MINORITY here!!!

I also wear a watch to bed, usually a Seiko. it's all about the lume

Never wear a watch to bed.......as far as the first 3 questions: YES, YES, YES.

seiko monster or omega seamaster to bed, or one of the new mods with tons of lume!
