WHO buys these?

Is it just the REALLY rich who really have no idea what it is but it's "cool and they can afford it" ? REALLY which WIS somewhere?



To mark its 30th anniversary, Hublot is presenting King Power Tourbillon Manufacture. It is inspired by the interior design of the workshops in Hublot's new manufacture, this King Power houses a Tourbillon movement manufactured in-house by the Confrérie Horlogère Hublot, specialists in complex watch complications.

The case, in microblasted black ceramic, measures 48mm. The bezel is also microblasted black ceramic with moulded black rubber, with 6 relief black PVD H-shaped titanium screws. The crystal is an AR-coated sapphire and it is water resistant to 100 meters.

Movement is the hand-wound Hublot caliber HUB 6002 Tourbillon with off-center hour and minute indicators at 12 o'clock and seconds via the tourbillon cage at 6 o'clock. Power reserve is 120 hours. The bridges are microblasted angled and polished with black galvanic treatment. It has black pvd screws and the main plate is done in a microblast with black galvanic treatment.

Mostly I think its young, rich, nitwits that don't have to worry about the money. I hear they're big in Hollywood for example.....

The watch to own at the moment, funny a few years ago it was about to go under and with the hiring of Jean-Claude Biver and one BIG BANG the rest is history!

I guess this watch is for a select few. It might even just be an opportunity
for a watch company to show what they can do ! Other than that, they
are probably examples of watch eye-candy for us to see in magazines, and
online ! Not very practical, but still great conversations pieces for all of
us !

There are SO many people who can afford these. So many. Just think of all the things about which we know where people make bank. There are millions of them. Seriously. Even just in the US.
But world wide, OMG.

Ian,aka Ultramagnetic, a very good friend of mine who was on the forums for a few years buys them.He lives in the 90210 area code.Has a pretty cool summer home in upper michigan.Forced to leave watch forums from stupid people who made snide comments about the high end watches he bought.Forget the fact that he also bought dive watches.He got tired of it.instead of just leaving 1st, he had a fire sale.Sold about 150 rare watches at prices everyone could afford.maybe think about that when posting up expensive watches.Chances are someone around here buys them but wonders why theres so many who make fun of the watches and the people who buy them.I've got a zenith tourbillon.Guess that puts me in that catagory.
