Rolex GMT Master II?

I've decided to buy myself a bit of a present. I've always liked the
GMT Master II, particularly with the Pepsi (Red/Blue) bezel.
Unfortunately, now that I can finally afford one, they have stopped
making the Pepsi because of the switch to ceramic bezels.

So, should I just go out and try to find one from last year, or do you
think it's worth holding out until Baselworld and hoping that they
introduce the new Pepsi there?

I would imagine that you could pick a GMT Master for around $5000 to $5500...checkout e-bay. Here are a few examples:

You may be able to pick up a preowned off of the sales forums for less...you just have to do your homework on the watch and the seller.

I am sure a few more members will chime in on other options and ideas...


Not to go off topic, but have you considered an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean or other brands of similar quality?

I dOn't know much about the Rolex models but a used one at a good deal is what I would do if looking for a watch, you can sell it if Rolex releases something different that suits you better.

buy used, you can find them in like new condition! great watch, i had one way back in the early 80's and gave it to my brother because of the plastic crystal and small crown they had at the time, it was a 1977-78 model and think they were about 500 bucks new. some of those older ones are worth a bunch and wished i would have kept it. My brother sold it about 4 years ago for 1800.00 dollars!
