| Kind of cool, I like it. The day/month windows would look better just a smidge larger.

I think that is a great idea. Wanna know if they make a bracelet for it. I think it would be sick with a bracelet.

You have a sharp looking case, super smooth dial and hands, alongwith a great movement behind it all. Oh, and the GMT hand is coolas well ! ..The price is a bit high though ! Thanks for finding thisone Jack ! Also thanks for those extra photos Ron !____________________________________

| Here's how I look at Lum-Tec guys. And I am one of the morons (self-described) that owns 3. Micro/boutique brand - yep. Expensive - yep. High quality pieces - yep. In house design(some influenced by other makers)/in house service/quick service/can speak directly with the owner/designer/service tech - yep 7 times. True limited edition - yep Ever met another person wearing one - nope Sickest Lume that I've ever seen - no doubt More comments on my Lum-Tecs than all of my other watches - yep Will I buy another - yep Called stupid by other people because of the $ I spend on watches - yep (mostly by my wife ) To me I would much rather drop the dough on a true limited edition, that I have spoken the the designer, president, service tech, etc, than an Omega/Rollie/Panny that there are hundreds of thousands of and sometimes millions of (although I can't afford most of those anyway ) To each is own. BTW this is what I'm wearing today |

| Labman, I'd be the LAST to call you stupid. You had a very personal relationship with Lum Tec and that is GREAT!
It's GREAT to read about your loyalty!
I'm STILL considering the M8 Tungsten! ____________________________________

| Thanks for your Lum-Tec assessment labman. I've been sniffing around the Bull45 A1 for quite a while now.
Don't have a B&R shape case yet - and like the LT variation on it. Also like the movement in the Bull45s

| I'm curious, and not pointing this at anyone in particular, I've seen it on other sites as well. I'm just looking for an explanation of the thought that $1600 is an ass-load of money for a well made limited edition micro-brand, yet some saying that's too much will/have dropped 3-5 times that on one or more of a mass-produced, tens-of-thousands of the exact same watch available around the world. What am I missing? I know I'm stoopid, so I'm missing some thought process in regards to this. |

| My thing is this. If I like the watch and I feel its worth it for me I will buy it. Thats why I buy what I love and have no regrets. Me personally I like this watch and if I didnt have other watches on my mind it probably would be next but that can all change. I know people say this and that about micro brands but its like anything else in life that we buy...So if you have the extra coin and love it...go for it...to each their own. Gotta say its a great design and really like that its tungsten. Wonder if they are going to make a bracelet for it. If they are making a bracelet then its probably gonna be next. | |

| I NEVER buy a watch with re-sale-ability as the main purchasing point, however... ...if I am going to drop SERIOUS coin into a watch, I would like to think that I could get at LEAST 90% of its price back if I were ever FORCED to have to sell one. I paid cash for my Panerai and got a HUGE discount, pretty certain I could sell it today, and even some time from now, and get what I paid for it, maybe a little more. Would I get that same return for my investment on a Micro Brand in a year? Highly doubtful, just look how quickly they go down in price on WUS as 2nd hand sales... All this said, I am NOT knocking the overall QUALITY of micro brands at all, Lum-Tec, Debaufre, Zinex, etc. all seem to have really nice quality. As Docrwm says, but what you like, for what you want to spend, for YOUR reasons, screw what ANOMALY thinks ____________________________________ | |

As Docrwm says, but what you like, for what you want to spend, for YOUR reasons, screw what ANOMALY thinks I agree with you on the resale value thing been there done that and lost a couple of shirts and pants along the way. Thats why i bought a panerai, breitling, oris etc...and changed my whole way of collecting watches. I also realized that in between those brands I could snag something cheaper and not worry too much about the resale value. Me personally i don't buy watches to sell them. The only watches I sold were invictas and renatos and we all know why I sold them..not a secret. lol.but when i buy watches i keep them and dont sell them. So for me I'm not too worried about resale value on the cheaper brands since im not gonna sell them. My higher end watches I'm not gonna sell either but if im spending that type of coin its really nice too know im not losing much on them. I also agree with you Alan on purchasing some of those micro brands second hand and getting a better deal...hey why not...just my 2 penny's....

| 90%? Are you expecting to buy new, and get that back, or are you talking buying used, and expecting to get that back? And how far down the calender do you think a watch will hold 90% of your purchase price? The Panny, don't know what your discount was, or what you paid for it... When I go shopping, I'll buy new, as I get a great discount, and I don't plan on flipping. I'll buy what I plan on keeping, too, like Jack. I don't look at WUS, so I have no idea. Maybe that's the innersanctum of used watch sales forums? Perhaps that's why I don't get the deal about micro-pricing. I haven't been shopping them used. Frankly, if I do buy used, I'd sure going to know the seller. But, with the discount I get when I buy new, I have seen used going for prices in the same range. sorry |
