Benarus Remora...preliminary drawings

I saw this over at OceanicTime and wanted to pass it along.



The case seems to be in line with the other current designs coming out. There is one twist, they are not using the tried and true Miyota 8215, they are using Miyota's new hackable 9015. Initial impression...it is really nothing new with a non-original design. Depending on the "preorder pricing", it may be a nice value...only time will tell!

BENARUS Remora (first look)


By TLex These are only preliminary drawings of the REMORA, and as such are subject to change. The 500m REMORA will sport a ceramic bezel, but the best news is that its 42mm case will house Miyota's new 9015 Cal. ,which has a hacking feature so that the second hand stops when setting the time, allowing for a precise setting; something that the 8215 didn't do. Stay tuned for more . . .

Not bad looking; vintage-looking case seems to be the flavor of the month with the botique watch companies.

Very SUMO-esque if you ask me...

Looks like this Benarus Remora is going to be one SUPER cool,
as well as smooth watch ! The ceramic bezel is a different twist
on things, as is that movement. I like all of these various
dial choices too ! The white, or off white version with the black,
numbers, and hands is interesting. Also like the way that orange,
and black one looks with it's markers ! Thanks for the heads up

I don't know, its hard for me to get a feel for it-the renderings look so one dimensional. Will look much different, for better or worse, in actual pictures.
