New Deployant from Axel Jost

Just saw this at Freda Watchstraps. Its a bit different, and more costly, but for a more expensive watch with a thicker strap it just might be worth it.

So, what's different? Push button, double fold, stainless steel with the added features of a screw to secure the end to “the point” (that is the long end ) and screw in spring bar to easily add to “the buckle” (shorter side of the watch strap).

Price is $49.95 and includes a free Swiss screwdriver (.8mm) for the buckle side attachment. Sizes 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm

Even comes with a choice of stem length. The longer stems are 4mm for extra thick straps (examples; Liberty, Jumbo) and the regular stem is 3mm which will fit most straps (90%). The 4mm stem is only avaiable in 18mm, 20mm and 22mm.

That clasp just ROCKS ! .. ..

I've been admiring that clasp for a while, but haven't had a need for it yet.

Do you guys think a normal strap would fit ok on the larger stem version? It would be nice to have that extra versatility if it can fit thick and thin straps.

I think it would fit fine. I thought about that issue and my thinking ran along the same lines as yours - the longer stem would be more versatile.

I dont really need a deployant at the moment, but when I do, I think I'll buy this one. I really really prefer the look of a buckle to the usual thick singular metal piece (can't think of a proper name for this) that most deployants have.
