| I think we saw this watch here a while back, but it seems like it's now getting closer to being released ! The Movas Diver has been created by Sean Wai, and is a unique design which is not based on any other watch out there. It's an original look, and everything but the movement is unique to Movas. The case, crown, hands as well as straps are all unique to them. There will also be three models, and some of the specifications include..Stainless steel brushed or bead blasted 45mm x 17mm case with 24mm lugs. Dark Anthracite sandwich dial, sapphire crystal w AR coating, Super Luminova, 45h power reserve, solid case-back, and Seagull 2533 movement. Also comes with a stainless steel bracelet, rubber, and leather straps. This information, along with alot more can be found at.. http://oceanictime.blogspot.com/2010/07/movas-diver-first-look.html Here are some pictures from oceanictime.blogspot.com also.. ____________________________________ | |

| Not a bad first endeavor....interesting to me is his Chinese Sea-Gull choice! I had owned several Seagulls and think they are excellent for the buck. I still have 2 vintage 70s and 80s basic Seagulls in the herd. WUS forum Chinese Mechanical Watches forum is a great place for knowledge on th Seagull movements. Cost wise, I can see why Wai chose a Seagull, the company based in Tiansin, China has been in business since 1957? and now coming out with very modern contemporary watch designs. The also make millions of their auto movements! So we can expect to see more and more Seagull movements in watches sold in the West. | |

| Like you are saying Thian, the Seagull movements are excellent ! Especially for the price too ! Guess we can expect these movements, along with some exciting designs in the future. DEFINITELY not a bad first endeavor at all !..It will also be AWESOME to see these live Alan ! ..If they look anything like the renderings when all is said, and done, that would just be outstanding !!!..Also agree with you Mark ! ..These DO look different, and there is alot to like. I kind of like that crown guard to be honest, but who knows how the final version will look later on ! ____________________________________ | |

| Liike the idea and much of the design but the crown guard is a deal breaker for me. Sorry, we're a Panerai-free zone here at my house. |

+1. I've never been a fan of those, would much rather have the crown at 4 like the first design. The dial I am okay with though. |

| Doc, and Brian, maybe there will be other versions down the road that don't have the crown guard, or will have the crown at the 4 o'clock position instead ! ..Also, maybe they will have extra options with the movements some time in the future too Eric ! Thanks for looking, and thanks for all of the opinions as well !!! ____________________________________ | |

Tom, The crown is a possibility but the movement is NOT because they are an Asian company that explicitly states that they take pride in being Asian and are going to do all things Asian including the movement. Given that they are in HK as I recall I think Asian is a light cover for Chinese and not truly "Asia" because that could include Seiko and Citizen movements potentially. |

Just thought they might add in some more options for you guys at some point in the future ! ..I REALLY like the way this watch is right now, both inside and out ! ____________________________________ | |
