GA-100-1A1CR Military Black

I have been wanting a G-Shock for some time. I had two other models in the past but was disappointed when I got them, they just seemed a BIT small. I had seen THIS model earlier this year but was not crazy about the color schemes. While surfing the net for them the other night I found one, of all places....ZAPPOS. The price was right, $99.00 and free shipping (I paid the extra $6.00 for 3-day UPS). I went back to check the next day and the color I had ordered was GONE; I was a bit concerned because while I would have liked the black with the white LED read outs, I REALLY wanted the "stealth" version. The ONLY other sites that had this color scheme were oriental sites that I could not make heads or tales of and would have been concerned ordering from regardless. Well when it got here, it was in fact the MILITARY BLACK that I had wanted and at 50mm, it is just enough bigger than the G-Shock Mudman that I love it!

That's a pretty cool G....I had to buy three of them before I found one I liked. Hope it's a keeper for you!!

This G-Shock simply ROCKS Alan !!!! It's got such a mean
feel about, AND it's just the perfect size to REALLY enjoy every
detail it has to offer, as well as being very comfortable I bet !
The cases on these watches are EXTREMELY COOL ! It
has a sci-fi theme happening, along with a super stealth feel
that could only come from a G-Shock !..It's an unmistakable
design, that not only looks tough, but I guess REALLY is too.
I always like the dials on these watches also, and this one
doesn't disappoint imho. There are SO many twists, and
turns, along with what look like cool multiple levels, that it's
got to be REAL fun to stare into. Also REALLY like the notches
which are cut out around the markers as well !!!..Some FANTASTIC
hands, both on the main dial, along with one sub-dial too. Mix those
in with the Out of this World digital read outs, and sub-dials, and
you have a special formula of both toughness, and technology.
Seems pretty much indestructible, from the sporty strap, to
the cool screwed in case-back as well. I'm glad you were able
to finally get your G-Shock, ESPECIALLY one as MEAN (or NICE),
as this one !..Congratulations on finding this, and I hope you..

The manual is like 2 inches thick too!

Great pick up Alan . I know what you mean about the manual, the one that came with my atomic/solar GW-9010 Mudman I was like "Good God!". Since I haven't kept up on all the recent releases from G-Shock is that a atomic/solar model? If so be sure to set the synch to "auto", that way when DST rolls around the hands will automatically adjust themselves which is kind of fun to watch. My GW-1500A is set that way .

It's a battery model and has no light either but I am cool with that..it is strictly a DAYTIME watch...
...or if it has a light, I havent found it yet!

Nice - Always wanted a G.
Been more of a Pathfinder guy up till now.
Mostly for the same reasons as you - all too small.
Holding out for this one w/moon phase, solar, and atomic.

Congratulations Alan! That is a MEAN looking G! I like the Hands, the shape and design as well as how they look against the black. COOL Watch! What color are the hands?

That light shot is EXCELLENT !!! Looks like a yellow or
amber color from here !..It's VERY different ! It's also a
nice way to show the time, AND it just plain looks cool
