good looking watch. It seems that whenever I see a new watch, I look for or spot the close similarities to other watches, much of the same thing = not much excitement for it.

like the movement and it looks like alot of dive watches no way around that. one thing i think would have looked better is the "ocean star" would have looked better above the 200 meteres in the middle of the dial, kinda weird over there at 9 o'clock but maybe thats how they are trying to be different! Bezel looks pretty cool, second hand i'm not sure of just yet?

Mido is one of those companies where I either LOVE their design or hate it. This one is much better than the previous verison of the Ocean Star divers - much better.

It's cool how even though this Mido has a traditional nice dive watch feel with the bezel, and dial. It also has some twists, and turns in those areas that make it stand out a bit. ..The bezel has some different accents, and so does the dial with a very LARGE area having some interesting texturing. Those hands are not something you see all of the time either ! Pretty GOOD if you ask me, and that movement sounds NICE. So does the price for everything here come to think of it !!!

Any caseback shots of that one available? Mido usually puts a grade above the competition in them and often you can see that the movement is marked "Adjusted in X positions" which can help ID which grade Eta movement is inside.
Here's a video by another WIS, NickDolin, of the older version of this model.

I like that version too Doc ! The bezel is REAL nice !!! Kind of flat on top, with a neat edge there as well. That anti-reflective coating works amazingly well also. Can really enjoy the deep, flat black dial with all of the markers, hands, and numbers !..Thanks alot for showing us this video sir !

Sweet but reminds me of Ulysse Nardin. In a good way.

I like it overall, the hand set is unlike any other. Not sure this stands above the competition at what is likely 1K or more on bracelet. Nice to see them making new sport models in a decent size.
