This watch is nothing but impressive!

ETA 2893-2 GMT Movement...

Great Size...

Crazy Lume...

It came on one of the very nice Steinhart, deployant, rubber straps ( odd because it is pictured on brown leather) which of course will not be staying on the watch. I am not even going to size it so once I find the bracelet I want, if anyone is interested in it we can talk...









I would like to find a bracelet with open links or one like some Breitlings have, the metal with circles cut out...

...so if you see anything like that, let me know!


EDIT: One more very impressive note. This came from GERMANY, was shipped on August 10th and was at my door...AUGUST 12TH by 9:30am...and NO DUTY CHARGES!

I HIGHLY recommend dealing with GUNTER at Steinhart!

...and yes, like the Tissot or some of the Formex watches have square, cut out links (has to be 24mm).

Steinhart was having a problem regarding their name (some other company thought it was too similar) so they formed the American company Debaufre until things got settled.

Congratulations Alan! I thought this was the watch you had as a sneak peak. I have always like this one but felt it would be too big on my wrists. If you get a chance, would like to see it on your wrist. Love the dial layout and the colored GMT hand!

I have a brown 24mm leather I will put on later so I can at least wear it!

Threw the Steinhart on a 24mm brown strap I had to get the requested wrist shot and so I could wear the darn thing!

I will say that this watch is MUCH heavier than the Panerai so if I don't find a bracelet that I LOVE, I could see wearing it on some nasty, thick, leather...

Let me know if anyone is looking for a brand new 24mm Steinhart rubber deployant...

It's just AMAZING how NICE of a job Steinhart really does
Alan ! Like you are saying the word is IMPRESSIVE,
and they are impressive not only in how the watch looks,
or is built, but also the customer service, and care. I mean
that shipping, along with no extra taxes is off the charts
imho. It's pretty incredible !..Which matches the watch
itself ! There is so much to like here !!! I like the shape
of the case on this watch. It's not square, and it's not
round it's DEFINITELY cool. When you see the side view
of the case, you can see there are some terrific angles,
and lines too. VERY eye-catching ! It compliments
what is a very exciting dial too. Those numbers, and
hands are pure aviation inspired coolness. However,
how about the way the chapter ring seems to be raised
up a little, which gives a deep layered feel to the dial ?!
There are even some great cross-hairs in the middle of
the dial, and let's not forget that unique GMT hand, which
is pretty GREAT !!! Also great is the knurling on the crown
there, and that lume is some of THE BEST !..I like how the
second hand is even lumed nicely as well. Have to say, there
is ALOT to LIKE ! ..Congrats on getting a watch you have
wanted for a while, and yes..ENJOY !

I looked, seriouly, for a 24mm bracelet with holes in it and couldn't find one.

Very cool! I agree, dealing with Steinhart is a great experience! I looked also, found plenty of leather rally bands but no luck with the metal.
