Accutron VX-200 Chrono

Hey there,

I'm way behind on my new watch posts.
But have a new phone (Samsung Captivate) and watch so I'm killing 2 birds here.
Q&D photo shot/uploaded via phone (but posting w/Netbook on deck with margarita in background)

Anyway...
You guys are all familiar with this one.
Missed out on the famous ~$484 Shnoop deal way back when.
Been searching ever since - prices have risen and fallen several times.
Even dismissed it as too small - when I was into the XXX Large watches.

But at the last NW GGT I got a chance to see/hold both John's and Smellody's.
Realized that I did still want it after all.
Since then John The Enabler tempted me with PM links a few times.
But held out for other opportunities till this one popped up on eBay last weekend for $525.
So I eSniped it.
Very clean if not mint condition - also very happy.

Nice watch. I kicked myself for a while after that Shnoop deal too.

I hear the bracelet is like butta its so soft!

Makes me wonder why they discontinued it. Certainly a hit based on its clean design and a good deal even without the Schnoop discount. This watch should be a staple in Accutron's collection.

Holy cow Jaw !!! That is a STUNNING watch sir !
FANTASTIC photo too ! Yowza, sounds like a GREAT
phone as well..With this Accutron, it's got SO many
things that stand out, it's just TOO GOOD really !
That dial is excellent, with it's deepness, along with
the dot markers which definitely catch your eye !
Those sub-dials along with the movement inside is
outstanding also by the looks of it. While the hands
fit in just perfectly imho. They are classy, but also
just sporty enough ! ..The Accutron sign at the
end of the second hand is a NICE touch too. Speaking
of nice touches, that pepsi-style bezel could not be
any better with it's number, and marker combination.
However, it's that angle at which the bezel rises up
from the case that takes the cake. Almost reminds
me of a volcano or something. I like that ! WOW !!!
..The edge of it is VERY cool as well, with those
vertical lines !..Looks like a GREAT case there too,
not only in size but shape. It's again elegant, but
has that sport edge happening also. Even the crown,
and pushers are well done on this watch..Then comes
the bracelet, which almost steels the show, but instead
compliments that bezel, and watch. It's really intricate,
and just LOOKS TERRIFIC ! ..Can see why you have
been searching for this one Jaw !..It's unique, and it's
just excellent in many many ways. Congrats on finding
this one, and keep ENJOYING it sir !!!

very nice watch Jaw! couple things that catches your attention when holding this watch is the feel of the bracelet and the heft of this watch..quality made Accutron!

One of the best chronos that you can actually read (running )the seconds hand. My biggest beef with chronos is some guy saying ( hey your watch is broke the small hand isn't ticking )...

Awesome watch...I had the non-chrono version. I only sold it because I didn't like the dark blue. Your's looks great!!

I have the three hand version of that watch. Great watches. And the bracelets are some of the best out there. Congrats!

Watch is on the borderline of being too big for me and the 3 hand
version fits better but Ive loved the watch from the first time I saw a picture of it.

congrats!!i have owned the chrono version and finally setteled on a black dial 3 hand.its one of the nicest watches ive had (regardless of price)it has a nice case and the bracelet is second to none,imo its as comfy as a learher strap.
