| It's amazing how many different cars, as well as manufacturers race in this ! ..You know what's really impressive, besides these cars, and their drivers. The way in which you were able to focus on the cars with your camera as they were speeding by ! ..You can see the background blurring, but the cars look crystal clear ! ..NICE job !!! ____________________________________ | |

Thanks Tom, but you didn't see the ones that didn't turn out!! Some weren't even in the picture frame due to delay of my point and shoot camera. The fun aspect of this race is there are 4-5 different classes of cars on the 4-mile track at the same time. The Porsches are the "slowest" class (and I use that term lightly). What's amazing is when an LMP open wheel car closes a huge gap entering corners due to their light weight and breaking abilities. The lower classes really need to stay awake and know what's coming up from behind as well as drive their own race against like competitors - not an easy task! |

You are very welcome WP ! ..Still an INCREDIBLE job taking those pictures sir ! Thanks for the extra information about this kind of racing, as well as the types of cars in it. There definitely seem to be many elements to this race, and no matter what class of car is being driven, the skill level must be off the charts ! ..Thank you very much for the insight into all of this ! ____________________________________ | |

Definitely worth seeing. It's more of an event...so much going on. I can drive my car around the perimeter of this track and get out at any point and watch. Carry-ins are encouraged! |

The ALMS last raced there about four years ago. I'd like to see them back at PIR, too. We were there; it was about 100F/100% rare weather weekend. The ALMS race at Road America, live at 3pm Eastern Sunday, 22nd, SPEED channel. |

| you're right Dan. The engine pitch in these is very exciting. not the growl of the vettes or Ford, but it gets me going all the same. | |
