| Subject: My SECOND 7750 Arrives - The Hamilton X-Wind H77616133 Mon Aug 23, 2010 4:52 pm | |
| It has been a hard 14 days waiting for my Hamilton X-Wind H77616133 to arrive from TimeParadise, who is one of the better known Hamilton sellers on Ebay. But they are out of Singapore and that means a lot of waiting and waiting and ... waiting. Well my new baby finally arrived. Short back story - My wife originally bought me the hard to find silver and black full size Invicta Reserve SAS as a surprise birthday gift. It cost her a lot of money at the time (was still high priced) and she had secretly saved up for it for a while and completely surprised me with it. I wanted it and I loved it. Still do love the design, bracelet and everything else. Well as we all know there were some issues with the screws on the case and the prices started dropping so fast that my wife was really upset. She felt bad. NOT because the SAS was not a nice watch. It was awesome, but because I was upset about the prices falling she wished she had gotten me something else initially. Well that made me feel bad for making her feel bad, so I DID SOMETHING about it! So as everyone knows over the past few months I have sold my SAS AND a bunch of other watches to save up for another watch that would replace the SAS and be "from her". I told her that I wanted the all stainless steel X-Wind but just could not find it at a good price that I could afford. I looked for months and months to find this particular model. And then that crazy night 2 weeks ago when the 7750 Hamilton Tachymiler AND this Hamilton X-Wind literally fell into my lap at prices I could afford (thread HERE). I was excited and STILL AM. This watch really impresses in person. I will say this. IT IS HARD TO PHOTOGRAPH because there are so many details and the light just shines off it in every direction. Very shiny, lol. This watch has both style, is sporty, is dressy classy, and looks and feels FIRST CLASS. Great weight (actually heavy) that is very evenly distributed across the case and down the bracelet on each side. Super nice bracelet and pull out extender clasp. The case back is actually nicer then the incredible back on the Tachymiler. This watch is listed at 44mm, but wears MUCH larger because of the pushers on each side. I will say it wears like a 48mm watch easily. I am going to have to read the big book that came with it to understand all the multiple dials, pushers, and crowns - but overall it really looks amazing. I now have a watch that is on par with my Oris in every way. This watch is stunning and really something that I am excited to have in my collection. On to the pictures and specs and all that good stuff. Hamilton X-Wind H77616133 WATCH MOVEMENT - Automatic - 25 jewels Swiss movement 7750 WATCH CASE MATERIAL - Stainless Steel CASE SIZE - 44.5 mm CASE THICKNESS - 15 mm DIAL(FACE) COLOR - Black dial BRACELET - Stainless steel WATCH CRYSTAL - Sapphire crystal WATER RESISTANCE - 100 meters A DDITIONAL WATCH FEATURES - Iluminating hands and markers Day and Date My Unboxing Pictures Stock Pic - | |

| Excellent Hamilton, looks great on the bracelet. I agree, it wears much larger than 44mm; I think the thin bezel adds to the illusion of a larger watch. Definitely traded up from Invicta to Hamilton IMHO, well worth the wait! |

| Good move - Killer Watch. Always wanted a X-Wind. Really like your all SS version a lot. Gonna have to move it up on my list. Enjoy.
BTW: Still have my SAS 7750 + other versions. Keeping my fingers crossed.

| Thank you everyone. I have to admit that I AM A LITTLE UPSET that the wrong bracelet came on the watch. The Ebay ad showed this picture and absolutely explained that this bracelet came with the watch - I have contacted the seller and voiced my displeasure in receiving the wrong bracelet and NEED an answer about what they are going to do ASAP. It took 2 weeks to get this watch and now realizing this error has gotten me a little down. It is like this purchase from my wife is cursed, lol I will keep everyone updated on the response from TimeParadise. | |

| I am still unsure if I have ever seen a seller replace a really nice bracelet that was advertised with another really nice bracelet. This is a strange one for me. | |

| I have contacted the seller to find out what they say. Every single one of their auctions shows the normal bracelet in the pictures you just posted but that is obviously not what I received. Strange situation because I like the bracelet that came, but also want the correct one. | |

| The Regatta pictured came on a blue rubber strap. I ordered the bracelet for $90 from a Hamilton AD.
If he doesn't make good, I'd still get the regular bracelet as it is very reasonable. |

| Definitely a neat story here James, and a SUPER Hamilton as well ! ..VERY NICE ! Can see why you were so excited to add this one to your collection by the way. Have to give it straight A's !!! ..Everything from the look, to the size, as well as movement in your new Hamilton is exceptional. The dials on these watches could not be ANY better imho. With sub-dials, and hands that are extremely classy. Numbers, as well as cool tiny dot markers, and a REALLY wide chapter ring that is just SPECTACULAR ! ..It's NICE because that chapter ring makes the dial seem EXTRA deep, as well as larger. ..Makes it fun to look at, along with find ALL of the interesting details it has to offer too ! ..Hamilton did a fantastic job on these bezels also. Whether looking at it from the top, or sides..THAT is NICE ! ..Have to say the case is quite BIG as well. The width, and thickness look perfect ! ..Even those pushers are eye-catching with them being on both sides of the case, and everything. Has to be something special for a watch to do as many things right as your Hamilton here. One of THE BEST parts of this watch has to be the back. Once again Hamilton gives one of their patented SPECTACULAR case-backs ! ..Just TOO GOOD right there, and TOO FUN to look at James ! ..Also want to add that this bracelet seems to be just fine imo. The style, along with the quality seem to be outstanding. However, I see what you are saying about wanting the one you originally saw on it. So, maybe they can ship you that one too, and you will have two GREAT options here ! ..In any case, keep us posted with that part, and congratulations to you ! ..This is SOME watch..ENJOY it !!! Excellent pics here TOO ! ____________________________________ | |

| Update - Seller has responded to me and said - - Quote :
- "We import these watches direct from major suppliers from around the world. It most likely is change in the production which we did not notice and have no intentions to mislead you in any way. All I can tell you is that we do not change bracelets or anything else on the watches. We sell them as they are received by us from the suppliers. I can see the difference in the bracelet too and the listing should have been changed to reflect this change and I will inform my office of this too."
They then offered to take the watch back and issue a full refund. That is nice, but I want the watch. I responded to them that Hamilton was still showing this model on their site with the desired 5 row bracelet and the one THEY ADVERTISED. Separately I have also contacted Hamilton for clarification via email and contacted a local AD listed on the Hamilton site who is about 65 miles from where I live (closest one). My email direct to Hamilton: ----------------- To Whom It May Concern; Hello and thanks for making such AWESOME watches!! I have a X-Wind and Tachymiler and LOVE them both. I have 2 questions about my X-Wind. I have this model from your site - Please see http://www.hamiltonwatch.com/webapp/en-us/collection/?c=KA&y=14&p=128 . Question 1) Do you ever sell this model with a different 3 row bracelet? I received one with the 3 row bracelet on it and wonder if this is something that was changed after it was bought OR IF YOU SELL THESE NEW LIKE THIS ALSO? Here are some pictures of the one I have - http://www.watchfreeks.com/images/watch/x8.jpg and http://www.watchfreeks.com/images/watch/x11.jpg and http://www.watchfreeks.com/images/watch/x12.jpgDo you sell this exact model new with this bracelet on it OR DOES IT ALWAYS COME with the 5 row bracelet shown on your website? Question 2) Can you purchase the 5 row bracelet shown in your picture separately and if yes, how much is it? I can be reached by email or phone at the numbers I provided on the form above. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks! ------------------ I guess we will see what answers I hear from the seller and Hamilton today. Either way I love the watch, just still want the chance to get the correct bracelet for it.

| Spoke to Hamilton AD near me and they can get me the Bracelet for $109 if I want it. Estimated 4-6 weeks after order placed. I will wait and see what Ebay seller says. | |

IIRC, when I ordered mine, it took about 2-3 weeks. These are stocked in the USA so I doubt it will be 4-6 weeks. heck, it should only be 4-6 DAYS! As I mentioned, these use to be $90 but that was a few years ago. $109 is still reasonable as far as quality bracelets are concerned. |

| After going back and forth with the seller in Singapore multiple times over a few days they were gracious enough come to a deal arrangement.
1) They refunded me $100 so I could spend that same money with the local Hamilton AD to get the correct bracelet for the X-Wind that I originally purchased and I will send back the incorrect bracelet to them. 2) I was concerned about sending back the bracelet without receiving the refund. They told me to hold on to the incorrect bracelet until I get the new one and then send it back to them. 3) They refunded the $100 tonight already back to my PayPal account and I have already emailed the Hamilton AD about ordering the new bracelet.
Because it is back ordered it might take 4-6 weeks to get the correct bracelet but in the end I will get the complete watch I originally wanted hopefully.
The resolution by the Seller was very positive and hopefully in a month or so I will have the completed watch ready to go.

Will definitely post new pics in a few weeks.
