| Which watch features really get your attention, make you take a second look?
A sandwich dial?
The bezel?
The lume?
Markers?
Is there ONE feature you will typically notice before all others? ____________________________________

| Needs a bezel if it is a sporty (non dress) watch. ____________________________________ M A R K

| The first thing that grabs me is SHAPE. If the shape attracts me then I head for the dial. | |

| Have to be honest and say the dial, along with case and bezel really get my attention and make me take a second look ! ..After that it's probably a combination of all of the other things that makes me take a third, fourth, fifth look etc. ! ____________________________________ | |

| I always wanted a Breitling because of their bezels...
A Panerai for the sandwich dial...
Another eye catcher for me is the bracelet, mesh of course always gets my attention... ____________________________________

That's pretty cool to know those characteristics about a particular watch brand, and their watches, and then focus on getting them ! I forgot to add that the hands on watches will also get my attention ! Not to mention different accents on a dial ! ____________________________________

the brand or name of a watch alone can stop me from buying Great point Ron ! ..It's amazing how many different things there are that can either attract us, or end up turning us off from liking or buying a watch ! ..It's really all very interesting imho. ____________________________________

| Dial/bezel/case shape.....all add up to looks....if it don't look good then nothing else matters. Next is readability...if it looks great but I can't tell the time then I'm not biting either. ____________________________________ Later, GaryRemember we are the caretakers of mechanical art..... | dial, case, ect. and a good movement is a must!!!! i to will not buy becuase of a brand name or if it looks great and has a movement i dont like. sometimes i will take a great movement over the looks, you can always change the looks. new dial, case finish, bracelet or strap. steve | |

| Bezel, then lume, then the bracelet. Maybe the order doesn't matter, but those are the main 3 things of a watch that will catch my eye. |

| IMO, a great watch is always more than the sum of it's parts or details/features , but being meticulous as I am (read anal), I spend a lot of time viewing and admiring the details. So much so that, if you've noticed, my photo threads are called "The Devil Is In The Details..."
Features that catch my eye... case shape, dial, hands, crown. But most importantly the fusion between them and the aesthetics they produce. |
