| I own 3 Omega, so I would probably lean in that direction because of my experience with the brand. However, I will own a Rolex (or Tudor) someday and feel that they have traits equal to Omega (maybe even better with the in-house movement on the Rolex. ____________________________________ M A R K

| Its an easy Choice if i had unlimited funds ROLEX but i see myself owning more Omega pieces mainly for the cost difference! Omega makes a fine timepiece but doesnt come close to the quality of Rolex and from everything ive read the gap is widening |

| This was a tough choice ! ..Both make excellent watches, and the history of Omega and Rolex is amazing as well. However, had to lean a little toward Omega on this one. They both have the looks and quality, but I think Omega might have the edge with variety. Just seems like there are more variations, and looks to choose from in each collection from Omega. Then when it comes to value it does seem like you can get into Omega for a little less, and still get top notch quality, and looks. I'm not 100% sure about the resale values with Omega and Rolex, but with the other categories, Omega would have a very slight edge. It's an epic battle/comparison Ron ! ..Thanks !!! ____________________________________ | |

| i would have to go with omega for 2 reasons, first would be cost and 2nd i realy like the looks of most of them. i dont ever see myself dropping $5.000 plus on a watch, that is unless i hit the lotto. oh wait, i dont play the lotto!! steve | |

| Very diplomatic in my answer; BOTH.
Rolex: Datejust II, GMT Master II
Omega: PO 45.5, Seamaster GMT

| I have both and think Omega offers a lot more variety. | |

| I prefer the Omegas also for the variety, but would like a Rolex someday. I really like Chris' Tudor and would most likely get one first before a Rolex | |

| If resale value is the only measure then Rolex. If style, design, and beauty are the measure - Omega. For quality of workmanship (leaving out the coaxials) then its about a tie IMHO. If hype is a measure than Rolex wins in a walk. |

For variety I gotta go with Omega, thus also my overall vote. Rolex has 2 models i like (sub and daytona), but has fewer styles and they've remeained the same forever, seemingly. I do have to hand it to Rolex with resale, thus value. Having a better assurance that I'd get a good return in resale makes it more valuable. Wouldn't swear off either one! |

| I don't see myself buying either. I could see myself going for a Breitling or a Panerai before I went for a Rolex or Omega. They sing to me more then the Rolx or Omega do. Right now I'm not at that level of collecting so I'll have to wait and see if any of these are in my future. |

| Both excellent brands. However, just from my personal experiences, I prefer Rolex. I've had 3 (Sub Date, Sub LV Date, Datejust) which were/are fantastic watches, all essentially perfect timekeepers with absolutely no issues. I've had 3 Omegas, as well (quartz Bond, Coaxial Bond, PO). Beautiful watches but no microadjustments on the bracelets made them not quite fit (even with various combos of halflinks). In addtion, my PO showed up with a visible piece of dust/lint under the crystal. I don't think you can really go wrong with either brand, though. BTW, I still own 2 Rolex watches. The Omegas are all gone. | |
