FUN STUFF RIGHT? Evil or Very Mad

I remember at the time it Just made me pissed to the point where I ended up selling the watch 'cause I didn't want to advertize their brand on my wrist, and then it helped to inspire me to learn to work on watches myself since I'd been stuck with a CAD $100 + tax watchmaker's bill. I can't freakin' win... - Page 2 Icon_mad Sooo, in some sick and twisted way I have them in part to thank for where I am and what I do today

Great outlook Jake!

Do you know how to take the stem out of a 2893-2 movement?

Sure..There's a small dimple type button in the plate near to the stem..The stem's easy enough to remove, but I wouldn't recommend removing it before you have practice...It's the re-inserting that can be a b*%ch on those since it's easy to dislodge some of the small parts like the castle wheel if you're not very careful.

Well just got an email from Steinhart, they said I could send it back on "their dime" and "see what they can do for me..."

IMO - you may want to cut your losses on this one. They need to offer up something to make up for these issues!!

That is BS...it was faulty, they "fixed it" with some dust added...they should take it back or fix it quickly.

Call Rebecca?

Ooops, wrong brand.......

If I were a brand like Steinhart, I would have a contract with US service centers around the country.

Seems to me this would shorten the time needed for repair, especially for relatively basic stuff like lint removal.

Good luck, man.

At least they gave me their fedex number to mail it back...

It's an unfortunate situation because you have wanted this watch for a
while now ! ..However, things just didn't turn out as you had originally
pictured they would. Let us know if anything changes with this, or what
you decide to do Alan ! I can't freakin' win... - Page 2 803574
