| Does the case opener adjust wide enough for 50mm+ casebacks? |

No, but I've never seen one! That's almost double the size of what you need for a SEIKO diver caseback, which only needs a 29mm opening! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] If the caseback is 50mm +, the watch must be a 70mm+ case size? |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] If the caseback is 50mm +, the watch must be a 70mm+ case size? You're right — my mistake. The caseback isn't the width of the watch....although in many instances it isn't nearly as big a difference as compared to the overall case width. For example, the Zodiac Oceannaire I'm wearing right now is a 45mm watch, and the opposite notches in the caseback are 35mm apart. What I meant to say is that most of the case openers I've seen, even just the two-pronged models, still don't open wide enough to fit the notches in the caseback of a 50mm watch. How far apart, in mm, are the two prongs at maximum spread? |
