Even if you're not a fan of the current Invicta Watch Company, the older classics are, and remain, very nice watches for their price point. I've had both these Reserve Subaqua "mid-size" quartz watches for a while and they are both very nice watches. I've been looking at them and thought "Hey, you know, if I switched the dials, these would both "pop" more due to the contrast between dial and case/bracelet as opposed to the monotone combo of the originals". Plus, they would wear a bit bigger (38-39mm) than they measure based on my experience.
So I manned up, used my watch tools and did what amounted to a very easy and quick "gut-switch".
The results I think, speak for themselves:

Stock Black IP/Black MOP & SS/Meterorite Before:

Modded SS/Black MOP & Black IP/Meterorite After:

Modded Black IP Meteorite After:

Stock SS Meterorite Before:
Switcheroo Mod 401_060952_430000001
Modded SS Black MOP After:
Switcheroo Mod 401_060946_520000003
Stock Black IP wrist Before:
Switcheroo Mod 401_060952_430000003
Modded After:
Switcheroo Mod 401_060946_150000000
Stock SS Wrist Before:
Switcheroo Mod 401_060952_430000002
Modded After:
Switcheroo Mod 401_060946_160000003

I think it transformed these 2 watches to their true potential and both are considerably more stunning and better wrsit presence than the original combos... your thoughts?

I think it is an improvement. You can always switch back if you want.

Royster, I don't know how you did this but it's INCREDIBLY
impressive !!!!! Shocked Switcheroo Mod 46145 Honestly, just sizing a watch is hard
enough for someone like me ! cheers Nevertheless, you have
shown how fun it can be to try new things like this out.
Even though I don't know how to do it, it must have been
pretty exhilarating to try, and THEN see how your finished
creation turned out. I DEFINITELY see that these dials are
jumping right off of these watches now. What an AMAZING
job imho ! ..The contrast is out of this world, and it makes
these watches even cooler than before ! ..Really can't
choose a favorite here because they look so NICE sir !!!
..It's like Mother of pearl, AND Meteorite magic here ! Smile
..AWESOME work sir !!!! ..STUNNING photos as well !

Much better. Wish I knew how to do that.
Would mod many of my Invictas if I did.
Nice job.

Curious if you thought to have the meteorite tested.
