Just bought this one last night at the NAWCC SW California meeting/mart at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
It's an early Vietnam-era watch in very nice condition. The minute hand has lost some radium lume but
otherwise it's quite nice. The bonus: I wound and set it last night upon returning home - - it has remained
at exactly the correct time to the second throughout the past 24 hours!

Hi Tom ! Very Happy ..GREAT to see you back sir ! ..Looks like you have found yet another
astonishingly interesting, and classic watch here. Those Del Mar Fairgrounds sound
pretty AMAZING by the way, not to mention..FUN ! cheers Have to say it's really
incredible that this watch is from the Vietnam era first of all. Like you are saying
it is DEFINITELY in very very nice condition, that is for sure. What's so interesting
about this watch, is even though it is vintage, it fits right in with today's watches.
Especially the military styles. It's great because this is the real deal here ! An original,
in which many of today's military inspired watches are basically based off of I guess.
..One of the many things which are cool about this watch, are those triangle markers
on the outer part of the dial. Have been noticing them more and more lately. Most
recently on Anonimo watches ! ..It's a really eye-catching feature imho. ..Another
eye-catching feature must be that Radium lume you talked about. Had heard about
that before, but very rarely seen it before. So thanks !!! Vietnam-era military pickup at the SW California NAWCC mart 46145 ..Kind of looks as if it
is orange in regular light, which is neat. Also seems like the accuracy is right on.
Yowza ! ..Pretty impressive time keeping right there !!! ..Even more so, when you
consider that the watch wasn't made recently. Guess it's like the old saying..they
don't make 'em like THAT anymore ! ..Another interesting aspect of your watch
here is the adding of those hash marks, and numbers to the already GREAT triangle
markers. Really adds some personality to the watch, and lets you know this watch
is SERIOUS. It has that smooth professional theme happening, and it gives off a
TOUGH no nonsense feel also. ..I like that spear-like second hand too with it's sharp
point at the end, as well as the style of the minute, and hour hand. Which again
looks like the originator of the look we see on many of today's watches. Smile ..The
same can probably be said with the sharp and simple design of the case too. Which
just looks excellent from every angle. The way it must fit against the wrist is off
the charts comfortable. I like how the lugs seem to extend so nicely from the
case as well, and you can really notice the brushing on them also. That crystal
is VERY noticeable as well Tom ! ..The shape, along with how far it rises up from
the watch is GREAT ! Have to also mention that the mesh couldn't be better either.
It just looks like it was meant for this watch. Has that tough feel once again, but
looks like it was made for comfort also ! ..What A CLASSIC Tom ! ..Has the cool
military theme down perfectly !!! Congratulations to you sir ! ..Excellent find !
..Enjoy !!! Vietnam-era military pickup at the SW California NAWCC mart 803574

Terrific pictures, AND watch !

Cool watch Tom. So glad to see you! I do not think I have ever seen lume "filled" in on a frame like that. I am going to look more closely at all my watch hands.

Tom, do you have any idea who the US govenrment commissioned to build these watches and is it something like Marathon does these days? Running spot on had to be a real treat and the watch is a wonderful piece of US Armed Forces history! Vietnam-era military pickup at the SW California NAWCC mart 46145

I'm pretty sure it's a 17-jewel hacking Benrus-branded movement from ETA.
